YWFT Tonnage — Heavy Type with a Bite
YWFT Tonnage is a chunky ink-trap display sans serif designed exclusively by YouWorkForThem. Built across six weights, it carries the mass of a classic heavy headline font while drawing its character from lo-fi alternative press lettering and event graphics of the 1990s. It feels rooted and current at once, built for visibility at scale without the generic quality of conventional impact-style fonts.
Ink traps at key stroke junctions carve subtle notches that register as visual texture at larger sizes. Counters are rounded and full, giving each glyph a dense, pneumatic quality.
